Design
The Parabolic Wave Diffusor is a further development of the known Schröder diffuser. It was developed in the research department of VATTER Acoustic technologies and is protected as a registered design.
What makes the PWD so special is its enormous
sound dispersing effect, also with high frequencies, and its low absorption.
These qualities make a striking improvement
to the audibility of musical as well as
verbal presentations.
Operation and technique
The technical innovation of the Parabolic Wave Diffusor lies in its curved surface, which provides a most practicable sound dispersion up to highest frequencies. This special design was developed by Vatter and therefore is protected.
A further positive effect is its insignificant sound absorption, whereby it stands out against the Numeric Wave Diffusor or the Micro Wave Diffusor.
Applications
Due to its curved form the Parabolic Wave Diffusor is not only an effective acoustic tool but also an aesthetic object. The demands on musicality, sound location and audibility of the room are met, as is the need for visual design.
As PWD 50/11/2, Parabolic Wave Diffusors are also mobile, and available as an installation on folding Vatter MWS Mozarteo shell segments, even changing conditions, e.g. in schools, studios or on stages, can be handled quickly and flexibly.
