Design
Long Wave Absorbers (LWA) from Vatter are developments especially for the "long-wave" bass range. They serveto reduce the reverberation time in the difficult low frequency band, and at the same time eliminate disturbing self modi, also called standing waves. All Vatter LWAs are Helmholtz resonators. These absorber types have excellent effective frequency tuning capabilities, that´s why they can be optimally adapted to existing room conditions.
Applications
The positioning of LWA products should be matched to significant problem zones in a room. These are normally the corners and edges. In order to achieve the ideal effect, the products should be installed in exactly these zones so the preferred places for installation are the corners and ceiling edges.
Roomacoustic problems are frequently mixed up with reproduction problems. That means that the customer often has no clear idea, that undefined bass sound is a matter of the room and not the loudspeakers. Our measurement tool Ramses is an ideal support to get certainty about this.
